Challenges in expert ratings of marine habitat and species sensitivity to anthropogenic pressures

On April 12th a global study on challenges in expert rating of marine habitat and species sensitivity to anthropogenic pressures was published in Scientific Reports. Correctly determining the sensitivity score is an important element when mapping and analyzing the potential combined/cumulative effects of multiple human pressure on marine ecosystems. The study ‘Challenges in expert ratings of marine habitat and species sensitivity to anthropogenic pressures’, analyses global datasets comprising 21 studies and provides recommendations for improvement of survey designs.

The study is the outcome of an AquaSYNC Synthesis Working Group with significant inputs from NIVA (Andy Stock, Ciaran Murray and Jesper Andersen).
