NIVA Denmark was founded on September 1, 2014, and since then, we have grown from one to over ten dedicated employees. Our work focuses on improving the understanding and condition of aquatic environments through systems ecology, analyses, fieldwork, and synthesis research.

On Friday, September 27, 2024, we will celebrate NIVA Denmark’s 10th anniversary with an exciting mini-symposium. The afternoon will begin with inspiring presentations from leading researchers and partners in applied aquatic ecosystem research. These talks will highlight current topics closely related to NIVA Denmark’s work.

Following the symposium, we will host an informal reception where colleagues, partners, and friends of NIVA Denmark will have the opportunity to network and strengthen relationships. It is a perfect occasion to celebrate our collective efforts and the results we have achieved over the years.
